Woob – Tokyo Substrate Paradox

This ‘Holographic Substrate’ includes five new paradox (Side S)
exclusive vinyl track – Fallen + the rest of the original Zoetrope tracks all in one place.

Since the release of the Tokyo Run album there has been a number of requests for a vinyl capture,  given the dramatic difference in sound/mastering between vinyl vs digital.

After eventually tracking down a service that used state of the art phono converters to do the transfer (thanks Christian!) I proceeded to remove (hand drawn at sample level) scores of vinyl pops (being sure to leave just enough to keep the vinyl character)..

….Then I started playing around with the captures!

Tokyo Substrate Paradox was born.

Best thought of as a kind of internal third S side that includes five new paradox tracks created from the captures.

If you missed out on the vinyl this is a great alternate way to experience it and a chance to hear that vinyl exclusive ‘Fallen’ plus the five new paradox. For those who already bought the original album the extra tracks will be available separately but the whole album will be half price for its first few weeks on sale.

No additional loudness has been added to the captures as to keep the purity of the vinyl dynamics  and experiance the larger sound (you will have to turn up your volume to compensate) There’s no physical, except a one-off that will include the two vinyl copies actually used in the capture. This will be available through woob bandcamp on release later this week.

Thanks to iloobia for the original zoetrope animation that I’ve repurposed and be sure to watch untill the end of the video to catch the crazy alien shit!
