It seems Woob listener Marky D’s K9 friends Franny & Henry have taken issue with the image of K9 Max & Harvey on the Woob/M&H album Have Landed….. by chewing them clean off!!!

Woob – ULTRASCOPE Deluxe Version and Hard Copy

With ULTRASCOPE next in line for the Hard Copy treatment I thought it was about time I uploaded a version of the album to iTunes. However as it has been so long it made more sense to make a deluxe edition/version with some Time Paradox bonus tracks…. but then that just seemed so boring and I’ve been wanting to do a Pt.2 Horizon Vector/s / Paradox II for a while now so there will  be some new material along with a Journeyman Re-work of ‘Finishing Move’ that could turn out to be that trip-hop synthwave hybrid you never knew you wanted until you heard it! Only time will tell on that front but in the meantime check out the scan lined crimson sky Deluxe Edition artwork.

Woob – Have Landed Technicolor CD now available So-lus

 

Having sold out again the Technicolor CD is now back and available on its own for the first time. This is the last of the stock of the re-press and it will not get another one as I am phasing out CD’s.

 

This could soon be the last available CD to buy from the Woob Bandcamp store, as stock is getting low on Lost 1194 and Ultrascope. Oh and as for that green monochrome I’ll get on to to it eventually!

Woob – The Six Hundred

Above : Don’t worry it won’t be 600 months until all new Woob material arrives!

The Six Hundred takes 4 tracks from the Have Landed album and re-masters them onto a 50 year (600 month) old reel to reel tape. Expect drop outs, wow, flutter, hiss, high end loss, channel dips and all the idiosyncrasy of tape magnified x10 but these issues which were once actively avoided when tape was still used have been embraced and combined with all the benefits of tape warmth, fullness etc these tracks sound very different and somewhat unpredictable. Only ‘Spine’ keeps the exact same arrangement plus there’s a very special string only version of Thieves.

However although the cover suggests otherwise ‘The Six Hundred’ is only half the story as this release is about revisiting tracks in the analog domain so the 10” Clear Vinyl 24-bit masters are also included. Previously only available to those lucky enough to get hold of a Wooden Artifact* the 10” was a one off clear vinyl that included specially re-mastered versions of ‘La Luna’ and ‘Bognor Regis Stripper’. Plus as an added bonus a track from the vinyl collection has also been included.

Woob – Have Landed CD Re-press

After selling out (mostly on pre-order) earlier this year its time for a reprint of the Technicolor CD. However this time we are mixing it up and replacing the custom cover stickers with the Monochrome logo sticker set. Available immediately all orders now come with a Random mini Woob card film frame of which there are 7 variations in this first series. There’s also a chance to get the CD as part of the new digital release ‘The Six Hundred‘ details in this post.

BAS ARTIFACT03MSE / BAS ARTIFACT03M – Woob Artifacts from the future?

A mysterious photo of what appear to be red veined Have Landed plaques similar to the ‘Have Landed’ wooden artifact plaques (see below) has been uncovered by Season 9. According to a reliable unnamed source who leaked this image these card plaques are connected to the equally mysterious catalogue numbers that recently emerged on the Bigamoebasounds website.

Woob – Have Landed, CD + Artifact Update

20 different products from 9 different companies is what it has taken to create all the different versions of the Have Landed album, so the probability of getting it all to arrive in time to send out before Xmas was perhaps a little over optimistic. Therefore as was always mentioned as a possibility shipping for the CD’s will now begin in January bar any further delays. As for the ARTIFACTS, whilst the first batch was originally anticipated last week both batches arrived today and it is, well…. it’s looking amazing! a real rustic look with every one slightly different from the other due to the subtle differences in the wood grain and hue. The numbered plaques are already here too but given that these objects are irreplaceable if they go missing in the post and with myself already having a few parcels disappear coming to me already I have decided I’m not going to take the risk sending them out until we are into the new year. However I will try and get a few pictures up before Xmas to keep you going:)

I will post a shipping forecast in January and link to it on the bandcamp page. CD Orders will be sent out in order of purchase but artifacts will go first. Also Pre-order offers have been extended while stocks last.

In the meantime check out above a shot of the final prototype for the stencilled sleeve that forms part of the Monochrome edition which takes 8 different items from 7 different companies to create…… think I’m gonna simplify things for the next release and just put it out on cassette!
