Adaption returns with Part 4 in the supernatural arcade horror series.
There’s a Time Limited Ex-rental Laserdisc Vinyl available to pledge/purchase for 45 days and then (un)dead.HERE Any remaining copies will be melted into 25¢ tokens usable only at the Midnight Arcade!
The record itself uses a unique ‘hand pour’ process that’s a significantly more expensive than regular vinyl due to the time consuming process of creating it and because of this there’s a limit of 300 (unique) copies.
Ad4ption is out today and you can catch up on the existing written storyline here but I just wanted to touch briefly on the creation of this album as not since Have Landed has a Woob album had such a checkered history.
Back in early 2018 I started the album, it began with a folder (AD4) left over from ‘Tales of Arcadia’ that contained an unfinished track called ‘Bricks’. I got around three tracks in with a few just beginning when a sudden threat of having to move house combined with me wanting to do a vinyl release meant I had to shelve it temporarily. The move never materialised and then things took a traumatic turn, so it wasn’t until earlier this year that I got to continue where I had left off.

Adaption‘ is a psychological thriller / horror musical adaptation of a story centered around a small coastal town’s abandoned video-arcade that mysteriously springs to life after midnight transforming all its unsuspecting visitors into the undead.

After being possessed by 8-bit ancient code at an abandoned video arcade Jessica splits from the group and goes back to her house to deal with the transmutation the best way she can…
As the night moves on into the small hours, a group of Arcadia’s residents conspire to avenge the presumed death of their friend – with horrifying consequences.

21st Dec. 1983 almost a week since Jessica’s disappearance at the ‘Midnight Arcade’ the local media have picked up on the story and another cassette has been found…
Inside the case a list of names, the first (woob) is crossed out the second is local band member Zooey. Z friend to the missing girl.
The remaining names are currently unknown….

The final edition of Tokyo Run zoetrope vinyl is almost here, along with new alternate digital artwork by the amazing Kai Arc (now included with the digital version and available to download above).
There’s also two print variations on oversized (A5) glossy artcards available as part of the release plus a new ‘Clicker’ vinyl sleeve label for the bandcamp version and Japanese Import labels for the HQ version which will include both print variations as opposed to one on bandcamp.
