Woob – Substrate Aluminium – Vol.2 features uncut original unreleased Wuub track

woob SAVinyl fans rejoice! as hot on the heals of the just announced Lost 1194 Located Edition we now have a follow up to the sold out Substrate Aluminium Vol.1

SA Vol.2 aka Woob 9410 is a celebration of 20 years since Woob 1194, specifically I have uncovered – from the original studio DAT master recording – the full near uncut 14 minute mix of Wuub !

This full length version of the original Woob 1194 recording including the missing first 4 minutes or so has not been heard by anyone (until recently) since the album was compiled back in 1994. The track was the only one to be edited down for the album on the then very slow and new Pro-tools. On this release you are getting the whole thing at 33 rpm on one side of Acetate.

For the flip-side a recording originating from the re-birth of woob in 2010 – the 64k Edition of 85-bit is a rare track having previously only featured on the ‘Return to the City’ keycard. One of my favourite tracks, it has been remastered specifically for this release.

The new volume also includes a Bandcamp link to an exclusive 24-bit Flac or digital recordings of the vinyl available only for those who own the acetate – Plus signed and stickered sleeve  including the all new SA triangular aluminium/chrome sticker! 10 only – exclusively at Woob HQ. Available Now

More info on the SA series below:

Substrate Aluminum (named after the core or substrate that is the foundation of the record) is the vinyl partner to ‘The 600′ but whilst those warm saturated sounds could be compared to the feeling of an old comfy sofa after a hard days work, Substrate Aluminum is like sound dipped in a vat of the most expensive, melted Swiss chocolate. It has a richness and warmth that is the perfect antidote to a world filled with speakers spewing out stinging insect like overcompressed treble and nothing else – a small victory in the battle against the Loudness War.

  1. I am so stoked about this release. I just placed my order on my phone while driving my car next to a police car. Luckily he did not notice me on my phone and did not ticket me. Even if he did it would have been well worth it!
    Amazing work Paul!
    Cheers,
    Paul
